My Aspire 5100 is one of the last ones 5100-5848. I have seen in Acer's webpage that the Acer Ferrari 1100 has some Windows 7 drivers and I think those notebooks had similar hardware to the Acer Aspire 5100. Perhaps Acer don't want to program the full drivers for the Aspire 5100 but they are programming drivers for the "high level" notebooks they manufactured with similar hardware.
